Outlined in white

Snow brings out the varied shapes of trees.

Deciduous trees and beaver-downed alders.

Oyster Bay meadow.

Wildlife snag with snow cap.

Older tree, with new saplings.

I never noticed before; most of the branches on the right side (from this angle) are missing. Or never grew. Wind patterns?

O nunca crecieron. ¿Qué sería la causa? ¿La dirección de los vientos, tal vez?

  1. I wonder if that tree had fire damage.

  2. The one-sided one? Possible. Actually, that sounds more reasonable than wind, and I do see many trees with old burn scars.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
