Three biking trails start at this spot; the shore one that I followed is called the Lower Deliverance. These are part of Snowden Trails, a large network of easy trails, well cared for, winding over a working forest, mostly on flattish ground. The lake lies at 150 m. above sea level; the highest point on any of these trails is barely over 200 m. Easy walking.
And the names! Someone had fun naming trails here. There's this Alligator Rock (I couldn't see any evidence of rocks on the map.) And Ham Sandwich, Jabberwocky, Lost Frog, Aunty Nancy, Three Pigs, Vlad the Impaler, Escargot, Box Lunch, Cinnamon Girl, Tadpole ...
I must go back. Maybe look for that Alligator Rock.
More Amanita photos tomorrow.

No dicen).

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
