Reaching to the sky

Yesterday I noticed the new pink catkins on the alders. Spring is on its way.

Celebrating the bare branches of deciduous trees; they'll be clothed soon enough.

A tall alder. January, somewhere north, on Hwy. 19

Ayer vi las candelillas color de rosa nuevas de los alisos rojos. Un aviso: pronto llegará la primavera.

Estas fotos celebran las ramas desnudas invernales de los árboles de hoja caduca.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
