I love moss. Good thing, because in our wet climate, it coats everything in our forests and fields, and even our towns: rocks, trees, old logs, stumps and up-turned roots, shady hillsides, old lumber, cement barriers, abandoned vehicles, roofs, wet lawns, and little-travelled roadways. These three photos are from the trail beside the river.

I often attempt to identify mosses as to species. Usually without luck. These three remain unnamed, for now.

Casi siempre me falla. Éstos tres siguen sin identificar por ahora.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
