Reach for the skies

Archtober is going strong. Check out the group on Flickr; amazing spidery photos!

This was my entry for today, the 7th:

High hopes.

This was last week. I checked again today; she's still there, fat and happy.

A Skywatch post

  1. She uses 4 different kinds of silk. 3 for the web, and one for her egg case.

  5. We've had an Orb Weaver in the same spot all summer. It can be really windy with plant movement, but he (she?) rebuilds each time. Fun to watch. - Margy

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
