Even in mid-afternoon, there are spots in the forest that never see sunlight. This log caught the light a couple of metres above the soggy, puddly, dark bottom land, all in deep blues and browns.

Sol y sombra. Aún a mediodía, hay sitios en el bosque donde nunca llegan los rayos del sol. Este tronco caído, cubierto de musgos y de helecho de raiz dulce (Polypodium glycyrrhiza) se atoró un par de metros arriba del suelo, un pantano siempre empapado, oscuro, en tonos de azul y cafés.
