Slow carvings

Water, weather, and worms shape old wood. I wonder what combination did this?

Log on the dunes. With a bit of lichen.

This one has been sitting out in the rain for years. But the worms got it first.

(Except that they're not worms: they're teredo clams.)
 

I'm still working on those 1950s photos. It's slow going.)
