Made my day. My week!

An oystercatcher! An oystercatcher! It's years since I saw one. And there it was, all alone, walking down the beach poking around the rocks. And it caught a limpet a few metres from where I was sitting on a wet log.

Pics; 5 because they made me so happy:

Red beak, pink legs, and look at that eye!

Caught a big limpet. They hold tightly to the rocks; the oystercatcher has a strong grip.

Little bowl full of limpet meat.

Blurry photo but I love the shadow.

One more photo just because he's such a fun bird.

The sun came out today, unexpectedly. And I found dozens of mushrooms. I'll start processing their photos in the morning.

  5. Una más. ¡Me encanta este pájaro!
Y hoy salió el sol; algo inesperado. Y pude hallar docenas de hongos. Mañana empiezo a procesar las fotos.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
