When all is grey outside, there's colour here.

Still puttering around the house, staying out of the rain, after a local severe weather alert this morning.

My African violet knows nothing of rain, or wind. The weather's always good on my windowsill.

Deep blue, shading to purple.

The tall purple spike is the pistil, the female reproductive structure, with the green ovary at the base. The stamen includes the 4 yellow anthers, containing the pollen.

Vein structure of the leaves.

Tomorrow, I'll look for mushrooms in the rain.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
