Slowpoke.

I was scanning the weeds along a trail, looking for ripe blackberries, when an oceanspray bush erupted. Bushtits! Speeding blurs, gone as soon as I saw them. One hung out a few seconds longer.

Bushtit, Psaltriparus minimus, male. (Females have light eyes.)

Just leaving. Blurry, but isn't he cute?

Oceanspray, Holodiscus discolor, gone to seed.

  1. Psaltriparus minimus, macho. Las hembras tienen ojos claros.
  2. Listo para volar.
  3. El arbusto, ya produciendo semilla. Holodiscus discolor.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
