Inflatable bone. Beaded treepipe. Budding Tube Lichen. Beaded bone. Pillow Lichen. Naked bottom shaped like an intestine (Translating the scientific name, Hypogymnia enteromorpha). All names attempting to describe these common lichens; hollow tubes constricted in spots, pale green or grey on top, black underneath, without holdfasts (therefore "Naked Bottom"), growing profusely on conifers.

On the rocks, we often see lone-wolf lichens; single circles widely separated. Here on the bark of old conifers, it's a party and there's room for everyone.

Hueso Inflable. Tubo de árbol con cuentas. Liquen tubo con brotes. Liquen Almohada. Fondo Desnudo en forma de intestino (esto traducido del nombre científico, Hypogymnia enteromorpha.) Nombres en inglés que atentan describir estos líquenes comunes; son tubos vacíos, de color claro, verde o gris por encima, y negro en la parte inferior, sin rizonas (por esta característica se les llama "Fondo Desnudo") y crecen abundantemente en las coníferas.
- Hypogymnia enteromorpha con algunos hilos de Usnea sp.
- En las rocas, vemos líquenes solitarios; aquí en la corteza de las coníferas hay una gran comunidad de líquenes. En esta foto hay por lo menos 4 especies de líquenes.
- Al nivel de mis ojos; parte de un Tsuga heterophylla en la orilla del lago Buttle. Lleva más líquenes que hojas.
