On the highway north of town I often stop to look out over Seymour Narrows again. This time, the currents were at their maximum, and the water was all stripy; blue and white stripes in constant motion, running east with the tide, (off to the left). Here the current runs south, bursting out of the 750 m. wide Narrows bottleneck, as if out of a fire hose, then turns abruptly east, building up turbulence as it goes. I tried to get a video, but without luck.
Just imagine, then; foreground grasses and leaves waving in the wind, and down below, white wave crests and their dark shadows all in a big hurry.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
