Grey morning, with framed eagle youngsters.

I saw this pair of young eagles on the edge of the wetlands, as I passed on the far side of the estuary, and drove around, then up and down residential streets until I found the house where their trees stood. They waited, unmoving. As I stood in the driveway a few metres from their trees, one turned his head, slightly, to look at me. No other reaction, no interest. I'm not edible.

They are young, probably this year's nestmates.

Youngster #1. The green on the trees is mostly lichen.

Youngster #2, a bit farther away. Ignoring me, watching the shoreline at the foot of his tree where there may be yummy ducks, fish, maybe rabbits in the grass.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
