Where to start, where to start? Everywhere I go, these days, there are mushrooms. And the photos are piling up. Mushrooms left over from walking by the river, from Roberts Lake, and now a bunch from the Elk Falls trail. Mushrooms and mosses and lichens; and a springtail or two, some interesting holes ... Let it rain! I've got photos to process, dry and warm inside here.
For now, here's some yellow jelly:

Two common yellow/orange jellies look alike; in my new mushroom book, they're both called Witches' Butter. One, Dacrymyces chrysospermus, sometimes has a white base; the other, Tremella mesenterica, which is found mostly on hardwoods, is all yellow.

Polypores tomorrow, I think.
¿A dónde empezar?

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
