Busy, busy, in the pink

A couple of bees, on hardhack, at the beaver pond.

Yellow-faced bumblebee, Bombus vosnesenskii?

Very busy. So many flowers, so short a season!

There don't seem to be as many pollinators about this summer; I've yet to see a bee near my roses. But the beaver pond, a good way out of town, has quite a bit of activity; bees, dragonflies, bluets, butterflies, and hummingbirds. And mosquitos, of course.

Y, claro, zancudos.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
