SeaBus to Granville Island

A couple more photos from Vancouver:

Downtown Vancouver, and the Burrard Bridge.

I was meeting my daughter on Granville Island. I waited for the SeaBus at the landing beside the market. It's starting off from the West End here, off in the distance under the Burrard Street bridge.

Two SeaBuses set off together; one veered off towards False Creek.

And this one is heading for Granville Island.

A nice little 5 minute ride, cutting off what would be a noisy, smoky trip through the city and in complicated loops on bridge entrances and exits.

I used to live just a few blocks south of here. I loved the area, and sometimes I miss the hustle and bustle of the city, but a morning of shopping and a quick walk in the afternoon is enough. I'm glad to get home to the green fields and the beaches of Delta. Tomorrow, Crescent Beach!

  2. We are home from the city as of last night. The hustle and bustle is okay for a season and even fun ... but ahhhh ..... so relaxing up here ... and QUIET!!!! ... and dark!!!! First night is an adjustment.

  4. kompoStella; I didn't know you used to live around here. I don't remember seeing the wooden shoes place; I'll have to look for it.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
