So many!

Maybe it's the weather, rainy and warm; I don't think I've ever seen so many mushrooms as I have these last couple of weeks. Hundreds and hundreds, along the trails I've walked, beside the roads, in my lawn; and a friend just messaged me to come and see the mushrooms in her lawn. After culling duplicate photos (and just plain blurry photos) I still have five dozen mushroom photos from just one afternoon walk.

Here's the first dozen, mostly un- or half-identified:

Xerocomellus sp.

Another bolete, as found, showing the pores.

Glistening Inkcap, Coprinellus micaceus

Chanterelle

This one grows between two logs. Only the underside was visible.

Tinies, the caps no taller than the mosses' sporophytes.

More of the tinies.

Orange gilled mushroom.

Small, pale shelves.

These were everywhere. Very small polypores.

The one in my book that looks most like these, with the wet, slippery cap, is the Fried Chicken mushroom,

More wet-topped 'shrooms, on the ground.

¡Nunca he visto tantos hongos!

  12. Otros hongos con sombreros húmedos.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
