It's all a matter of time. And water.

Mountains; all massive, jagged rocks:

Tall, sharp peaks, to our south, in Washington State.

Mount Baker

Which will eventually crumble to this:

Beach rocks, with barnacles and brown rockweed. Boundary Bay.

And then be ground down and smoothed out, by water and critters, to this:

Sand, still being ground down, this time by worms and snails. And water. (Other tracks; human, dog, sandpiper.)

Just give it time.

  1. Nice pictures! I like the last one, but living in sight of the mountains must be nice.

  2. You get a better view of Mt. Baker than we do when we visit Bellingham on Bakerview Road. - Margy

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
