Almost looks like summer

Along the rocks bordering White Rock beach, the wild mustard plants, yellow and blue, are in full bloom. And the fall crop of Cabbage whites is happily flitting from flower to flower.

Cabbage white butterfly, Pieris rapae, female (two spots on upper wing)

These butterflies are cold-tolerant; most of the other butterflies have gone into hibernation already.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
