Birding the beaver pond

On a hot afternoon, a short walk is enough. From the road to the start of the path across the beaver lagoon and return. But there's always something to see.

Lily pads and reflections. With a few flower buds, still underwater.

Redwing blackbird, posed so as to hide his red shoulder decorations.

Hillside, dried broom (hope it doesn't recover), and clouds.

Circling, circling far overhead; a turkey vulture. Not hiding his red head.

A Skywatch post.

  3. Una vista del cerro, con nubes. Y las plantas invasivas retama negra, resecas. Ojalá no revivan.
  4. Y dando vueltas y vueltas allá arriba, un buitre americano cabecirrojo.

Un post de Skywatch

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
