Five small 'shrooms

Some mushrooms are easily identifiable. Most, though, are like these; similar, but not a certain match for anything in my guide books. These are growing in the moss alongside the trail down to Elk Falls.

Dark reddish mushroom. With violet leaves, spider molt, beetles. And can you find the ant?

Growing on rotten wood. Smaller than my looonie.

In the shelter of a log. With Douglas-fir cone.

Maybe the same species, but older, with a fraying rim.

This one is tiny.

It would help with identification to break these off and look at the gills, how they're attached to the cap and the stalk, look for cups or rings on the stalks, even take a spore print. But I'm reluctant to kill them; they're happy where they are.

Algunos hongos son fáciles de identificar. Pero muchos, tal vez la mayoría, son como estos cinco: parecidos, pero no idénticos a ninguno de los que aparecen en mis libros guía. Estos crecen al lado del sendero que baja a la catarata Elk Falls.

1. Un hongo de un color rojizo oscuro. Crece entre hojas de viola. Y lleva en el sombrero una muda de una arañita, unos ecarabajos. Y ¿puedes ver la hormiga?
2. Este crece en madera bien podrida. Menos de 2 cm de diámetro.
3. Protegido a la sombra de un tronco roto. Con musgo y una piña de abeto de Douglas.
4. Tal vez sea de la misma especie que el anterior, pero más maduro, desbaratándose ya a la orilla.
5. Este es muy pequeño.

Sería de ayuda al tratar de identificarlos cortarlos y mirar las laminillas, ver como se fijan al sombrero y al tallo, buscar los anillos o copas en los tallos, y hasta tomar una impresa de las esporas. Pero me da pena matarlos; están buy bien, muy felices donde están.
