Long, long ago, 'way back when I was a little girl, we decked ourselves out in new clothes; dresses in bright pastels, white shoes and gloves for Easter. And hats. Hats with garlands of flowers on top. Long, long, long ago. I haven't seen a flowery hat for years.
But Ma Nature keeps up the old customs and dresses the fields and woods with spring flowers.

Hace mucho, pero mucho tiempo, cuando yo era niña, nos arreglábamos para el Dia de Pascua con ropa nueva, vestidos en colores vivos, zapatos y guantes blancos. Y sombreros. Siempre un sombrero decorado con flores primaverales. Hace muchos años. Ya no se acostumbra. No he visto un sombrero cargado con flores desde hace mucho.
Pero la Madre Naturaleza sigue las costumbres de antaño y viste el campo con flores justo a tiempo.
Primera foto: Arreglo en rojo y verde. Por las hojas, creo que son una variedad de grosella.
Segunda: Estas flores, casi como un polvo blanco a mis pies, miden apenas unos dos o tres centímetros de alto.
Tercera: De la familia de las mentas, estas plantas son ortigas muertas purpúreas, Lamium purpureum, creciendo entre las hierbas al lado de la calle.
Cuarta: Inflorencias masculinas de aliso rojo.
Quinta: Botones en el viejo manzano.
Lovely pictures - the tradition of flower hats has gone from the UK too, though there are other rituals of spring and summer.
