At water's edge, Lake Roberts

I stopped at Roberts Lake Resort, on the shore of Roberts Lake. There was nobody about; it's really too cold for boating or swimming. I parked at a campsite on the shore and wandered about, taking photos of ice and rocks until my fingers froze and couldn't feel the camera shutter button.

It doesn't look that cold in the photos.

Rock just off-shore, with frozen moss on top. Mount Menzies reflected in the lake.

Ice and pine needles in the sunshine at the edge of the water.

Hardhack. The flowers stay put until spring: pink in summer, wine-red in fall, brown in winter. There's still a hint of warm red in the stems.

Rocks and reflections: cedar branches, Mount Menzies.

  1. Such pretty photos, but the first is my favorite, with those reflections...just lovely.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
