Light along the shore

It's been a while since I've been to Tyee Spit, mostly because there's no shade, and this summer has been hot. But suddenly, it's wet and cold; time to go looking for mushrooms. Tyee Spit is a good place for them.

And for watching the light over the water. I walked the shore a couple of hours before sundown, facing the dying light.

Stumps along the shore

Distant loon. The shore plants are broom (grrrr!), Oregon grape, and blackberry.

Just grass

More shore "weeds"

Turning to face away from the light. The tail end of the Spit from a new viewing platform. Grey weather, but it's not raining, for now.

Today's spider for Arachtober is a pensive jumper.

Green fangs!

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
