It's been a while since I've been to Tyee Spit, mostly because there's no shade, and this summer has been hot. But suddenly, it's wet and cold; time to go looking for mushrooms. Tyee Spit is a good place for them.
And for watching the light over the water. I walked the shore a couple of hours before sundown, facing the dying light.

Stumps along the shore |

Distant loon. The shore plants are broom (grrrr!), Oregon grape, and blackberry. |

Just grass |

More shore "weeds" |

Turning to face away from the light. The tail end of the Spit from a new viewing platform. Grey weather, but it's not raining, for now. |
Today's spider for
Arachtober is a pensive jumper.

Green fangs! |

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
