Looking closely, down his throat, a few ridges are visible. As far as I can tell, this is the radula, the file-like ribbon that peels his food off the surfaces where it grows.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
