And now, it's raining. A regular, day-long, steady, September rain. About time! When it stops, I'll go mushroom hunting.
Nature notes and photos from BC, Canada, mostly in the Lower Fraser Valley, Bella Coola, and Vancouver Island.
I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
Oh, mushrooms! And mushrooming weather. I'm envious
ReplyDeletePretty as a watercolour painting. We love the rain but the wind is bouncing the cabin around a bit. Still it's good to have. Powell Lake is at the lowest we've ever seen. I wish I knew more about mushrooms. Not enough knowledge to do any picking, only picture taking. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI've picked and eaten mushrooms, but only when I've been absolutely sure about my id. Mostly, it's best to take the photos and leave them be. With the way species are disappearing these days, the less we pick things, the better chance they have of being there next year, anyhow.
