Winter winds bring down branches, leaves, cones, and assorted hangers-on. These two pieces of lichen didn't make it all the way.

Los vientos invernales sacuden las copas de los árboles y envían ramas, hojas, y piñas al suelo, además de los líquenes que crecen allá arriba donde les llega la luz. Estos dos fragmentos de liquen no llegaron al suelo.
- El liquen Lobaria pulmonaria, en un poste. Muy verde cuando está mojado, volviéndose café al secarse.
- Un pedacito de liquen folioso. Dijo mi compañera por el camino —¿Un ornamento navideño olvidado? — Tal vez sea un duende.
