So sad. So angry!

Warning! This is just sad. If you're looking for pretty pictures, go away; come back tomorrow.

On the beach the other day, I met friends who took me to see a baby dolphin, dead, cast up on the shore. Fresh, but already more than half eaten.

As found

The entire tail end was gone, with only the internal organs remaining intact. From nose to base of flipper, he measured 11 inches. Still a baby.

What could have done this? That's a clean cut, with only a couple of Vs. He almost looks butchered. Not bitten.

Maybe the question should be re-worded: Who could have done this? Why?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unos amigos encontraron este delfín pequeñito tirado muerto en la playa. Toda la parte posterior ha desaparecido. Pero parece trabajo de un carnicero, no de animales reduciéndolo a mordiscos. Las cortes son regulares, limpios. Y los órganos interiores están intactos.
¿Qué, o mejor, quién habrá hecho esto? ¿Y porqué?
    1. Department of Fisheries and Oceans staff person said it was possibly, from my description, a propeller cut.
I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
