Riding a wooden wave

These dolphins overlook the shore at Rock Bay.

Synchronized leaping; three dolphins here.

So sad. So angry!

Warning! This is just sad. If you're looking for pretty pictures, go away; come back tomorrow.

On the beach the other day, I met friends who took me to see a baby dolphin, dead, cast up on the shore. Fresh, but already more than half eaten.

As found

The entire tail end was gone, with only the internal organs remaining intact. From nose to base of flipper, he measured 11 inches. Still a baby.

What could have done this? That's a clean cut, with only a couple of Vs. He almost looks butchered. Not bitten.

Maybe the question should be re-worded: Who could have done this? Why?
