Bull's eye, blotches, shrooms

I never tire of looking at lichen-covered rocks. These are on the ones lining the parking spaces on Tyee Spit.

At least three different species of lichen here. The brown sections in the Bull's-eye lichen are fruiting bodies.

Pale greenish Bull's-eye lichens, slightly purplish blobby lichens, and specks here and there of yellow lichens.

Yellow, greenish, purplish. Lichens each follow their own individual timetable; while some are full of fruiting bodies, others are just "leaves".

On the ground near the rocks, three mushrooms, and new seedlings getting a head start on next spring.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
