Crosshatch eyes

A newly-scrubbed glass wall, inside and out. Freshly-filtered water. A flash bounced off the undersurface of the water. And a curious hermit crab, watching me from half an inch away.

Little details make a difference. For the first time, I got to see the texture in a hermit crab's eyes.

Medium-sized hairy hermit.

Zooming in. Spirals and rows of squarish cells, green and brown.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
