Tangled greens

Wading the eelgrass beds; I love the play of light on the water and sand, the swirling colours of the seaweeds underwater.

Eelgrass, brown and green, and silky green algae.

What looks like grass seed heads is probably hydroid "fur" on eelgrass.

Try to pick up one of these green masses; it feels like a spring fog, and is almost as hard to grasp. Most of it floats away, leaving tenuous green threads around your fingers.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
