Last week, they were running the April program up there:
Wallflowers
Magnolia center
Pasque flower. I love those feathery leaves!
These look like they're made of wax. They're not.
Pieris japonica
Pink heather. This blooms all winter up here.
White magnolia, small-petalled variety. This was on a huge tree, a mass of white blooms top to bottom.
Pretty fly on the white magnolia.
Sunshine Hills is early; my shady garden is late. But yesterday morning, the first flower bud of my Dutchman's breeches started to unfold. We'll get there, yet.
Beautiful flowers, and great shots! I lived in Vancouver for several years; you're reminding me of how much I loved your part of the world. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour shots have captured the essence of spring beauty. Yes, Spring is finally upon us. Well, most of us.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go to Burns Bog. I didn't know they had activities for the public over there.
ReplyDeleteLorena, the tours look interesting. We've never been on one, just wandered the paths alone, usually getting lost in the process.
ReplyDelete(Don't ask me how; there are only two loops, but we always seem to take the wrong entrance.)
