Along the road passing the entrance to Centennial Beach Park, on Boundary Bay, wide open marshland provides good hunting grounds for raptors. We usually see at least one, often perched on a hydro pole by the roadside. We stop to take photos; the hawk flies away. Today there were three, and one was a bit slow to leave. Laurie got three shots at it through the window.
Red-tailed hawk

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
