'Tis the Season, Fa la la la la

December 13. One week until the Solstice, 11 days to our Christmas Eve party (and I'm 'way behind on the shopping), another week until New Year's, and six days later, Dia de Los Reyes, when we celebrate Christmas Mexican style, with chocolate,  Rosca de Reyes (our recipe) and a piñata. (And too many kids to count.) I'm exhausted already!

Speaking of piñatas, we found this look-alike on White Rock beach, hung up in driftwood logs.

The design was painted on, over the papier mache base. I think the top design is a maze.

And it was the usual newspaper layered shape, but look at what they used for the base!

Exercise ball piñata

Bust that one open, kids! (Or fill it with candy, Daddy!) Can't be done.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
