They were back at the feeder today, and I got a couple of good shots.

Here's the pair, still as unafraid as before. I could have reached out and touched them.
A couple of days ago, one was on the old fuschia planter, collecting a large beak-full of fibers from the coconut matting, and being quite picky about it, too. So they're nesting in the vicinity. And I hope the weather co-operates.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!

Pine siskins are the cutest little birds. The ones that come to visit our feeder let me get closer to them than any of the other birds.
ReplyDeleteWe have a natural fiber doormat that the black-capped chickadees have been pulling apart for their nests. It is so cute to watch them with their beaks full of it.
