Waves on a grey sea

High tide, these days, comes in with rolling, pounding waves, even without wind to drive them. When it stops raining, paddle boarders and surfers join the ducks offshore.

Shelter Bay beach, with wave crawler. There's another four or five hidden behind the waves. Looking southeast.

Splash!

Just rocks and the tail end of a wave.

Looking northeast, towards Quadra Island. The water looks blue from this angle, grey to the south. The water in the centre of the channel is smooth, but along both shores there's that line of white froth where the currents collide.

    1. That's what he was doing, most of the time.

  2. Really choppy last night when we were in town. Watched a landing craft bucking the waves with water flying across his front deck. Good thing it was empty. - Margy

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
