Mothers' Day! For once, Canadian and Mexican Mothers' Days fall on the same date. ¡Feliz Dia de las Madres!
I've been remembering a list I wrote a quarter century ago, celebrating "Things I Learned from Mom". A wise woman; she left me maxims that still shape my days. One item on the list was this:
"The long way 'round is more interesting."
I've been taking the long way 'round all my life, and yes, Mom was right.
Here's to all the mothers who gave us wisdom to live by, and all the mothers passing down that wisdom to the next generation. And the next.

Happy Mothers' Day, y'all!

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
