Fluffy

Fireweed is a beautiful flower, pink and glorious, a favourite of hummingbirds and bees. But I think I like it best when it has gone to seed.

Tall spikes releasing white fluff into the wind.

Have to zoom in to appreciate the design.

Loops and swirls and fluff.

And each feathery bit of fluff bears one flying fireweed seed.

"Nuff "f"s?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
El epilobio, que aquí llamamos "hierba de fuego", Chamaenerion angustifolium es una planta hermosa, con sus flores color de rosa vibrante, gloriosas, favoritas de los colibríes y las abejas. Pero creo que me gusta más al fin del verano, cuando está echando sus semillas a la brisa.
  1. Los tallos altos; llegan hasta los 3 metros.
  2. Pero hay que acercarse para apreciar su belleza. Los tallos de las flores se han vuelto círculos y espirales apenas deteniendo los vilanos sedosos.
  3. Y cada vilano lleva su semilla.
(Me divertí en inglés jugando con palabras con la letra "f" —flower, fireweed, flying, fluff, feathery, 'nuff. No funciona en español. Ni modo.)
I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.
Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
