This time of year, the sun comes up shortly after 6 AM. Now with the distant forest fires filling our skies with smoke, the pre-dawn light is sunset orange.

The plants: outside; cosmos, holly, and distant evergreens. Inside; cactus, kalanchoe, creeping Jenny (could go outside happily), mango tree (fingers crossed), air plants, etc.

En esta temporada del año, amanece un poco después de las 6 de la mañana. En estos días, con el humo de los incendios forestales, la primera luz con ell sol todavía bajo el horizonte tiene el color anaranjado propio de la puesta del sol.
La foto es de mi ventana mañanera, a las 5:35 AM.
Las plantas son: afuera, el cosmos, el acebo, y abetos distantes. Adentro: varios cactos, kalanchoe, lysimachia (este bien podría ir afuera), un árbol de mango (un experimento; ojalá aguante el invierno aquí en el norte), claveles del aire, y otras.
