In the absence of a proper BC groundhog, we had to make do yesterday ...
|
We saw our own shadows. |
I think that means we are in for another six weeks of winter before spring arrives, although Hugh (
Rock, Paper, Lizard), perhaps more pessimistic, or maybe more experienced, foretells a partly sunny afternoon standing in for spring.
Whatever the future brings, a shadow means sunshine, at least for a moment. And we did enjoy that.

Blue sky, low mist, and squiggly clouds over Boundary Bay |
|
A herd of woolly lamb clouds, and one lone eagle |
|
Tree lace and cottonball clouds |
|
A hint of spring colour in a cottonwood tree. |

At supper time, we came home to this view. |
|
Red, fading to pink and mauve |
"Red sky at night, sailor's delight." Sunshine again tomorrow?
So, who's right, the groundhog or the sailor?
