Last year's pumpkins, with eagle

We always wonder about this: why do eagles often sit in the fields, when there are so many good trees around? They never seem to be doing anything, and there's no prey to be caught.

Unless they like rotting pumpkins and turnips.

Westham Island, just outside Reifel Bird Sanctuary.

  1. It's a shame so many go to rot. Maybe the eagle can find some good in the littered field. - Margy

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
