There are large cottonwood trees with some cedar and pine mixed in. There was a small creek running down the middle, but two beavers moved in about nine months ago. They've built a dam and have set up housekeeping. The result is a small pond that has flooded the roots of many of the evergreens, causing them to die. Of course, they have chopped down all the willows and opened up the area around the pond.
