It's been too long ...

Since we visited these favourite spots.

Deer Lake, Burnaby, spring of 2006. We used to come here often, to see the ducks or to visit the Art Gallery. Or both.

Minnekhada Park, 2006. Laurie knew the park and took me once. We always meant to go back, but never did. Too far away on the far side of Port Coquitlam, too much traffic. I saw a mallard here, trying to swallow a small frog, who very strongly disapproved of the plan. The duck won, eventually.

Bridge dividing artificial pool from the Fraser River. New Westminster, November 2006. A freezing cold day. We still drop in occasionally, if the weather is good.

At least two of these places are still within reach. I think I'll pencil them in on our calendar.

A Skywatch post.

  5. I think these are the best photo reflections I've ever seen. So so beautiful. I really like the last one, it's that perfect that made me wonder the real position of the photo. hahaha

    Regards from Barcelona.

  6. Thanks, all.

Aiketa, I had two versions of it stored on my hard drive, thinking they were two photos. One was just upside-down.

I'm having to moderate all comments because Blogger seems to have a problem notifying me. Sorry about that. I will review them several times daily, though, until this issue is fixed.

Also, I have word verification on, because I found out that not only do I get spam without it, but it gets passed on to anyone commenting in that thread. Not cool!
