Another weather grumble

BC Christmas season weather. At least it's easy to predict. Rain. Rain. Rain. With the occasional storm, and sometimes snow. Then more rain.

It started to snow yesterday. Then it rained, then snowed, then rained. It's raining hard now.

Umpteen and umpteen years ago, we were driving through the New Mexico desert. On and on and on, never a hill or a tree or a curve in sight. Heat waves and straight highway. Eventually, we passed a small sign, that said simply, "Monotonous, ain't it?"

There are still the memories of other winters, winters with bright skies, winters with snow. And we can always hope; it's not Christmas yet.

December, 2008, MacLean Park, Strathcona. It snowed all Christmas week.

Shopping tomorrow. Stormy weather, too. Wish me luck.

Christmas is in your heart, not in the weather! I have a 100m icy driveway today. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I've had a ton of spam, too. People with little to do.

Cheers from Cottage Country!

Snowed lightly all day today. It has let up now. Sometime this evening the neighbour boy is going to shovel my driveway. Tomorrow is supposed to be fairly nice and I want to get into town as more snow is in the forecast for Wednesday/Thursday. We will have a white Christmas. Everything is coated at the moment ... trees heavy laden.

That's the year we had to sweep the roof and the gutters froze into solid ice, almost ripping off the eaves. - Margy

Eileen, I'm glad you're getting someone to do the heavy lifting for once. I hope your knee is improving.

Margy, Yes, and I got in more than my share of shovelling the car out of drifts. I ended up paying a kid to do the final round. My back was shot.

Jenn; I'm dreaming of a rusty Christmas!
