Stubbies and not-so-stubbies

We finally made it down to a beach for a short walk this morning, at low tide. Stories Beach is flat, and even the rocky areas are easy walking; we were able to explore a few tide pools before Laurie's leg gave out.

Under a couple of rocks, we discovered these multicoloured Stubby isopods:

Stubbies and Vosnesenski's isopods (the big green ones)

Stubbies and a worm with a red spinal line

Polychaete worms, with Stubbies. Look at this full size to appreciate the iridescent greens and blues of the worm.
